11. Your State Circle, Your Broker - Making Connections 12/11/24 7PM EST

Good evening, everybody. How's everybody doing tonight? Where are y'all at? Any West Coasters? Slowly slowly filing in. Yep. We had quite a few waiting. So Yeah. See what we got going on tonight. Sacramento. Nice. Texas. Hi, Lacey. There's Lacey. I'm in, yep, same area. Welcome. Dallas. Houston. Alright. Texas. That's California. Another California? Costa Rica. So jealous, y'all. Alright. Yeah. Now you're just trying to get us jealous. Daytona. Welcome. Welcome. Nice. When did Jen speak from Vegas? It's Josh. Hey, Josh. Virginia. Very cool. Give everybody just another minute to jump in, and then we will get y'all started. Wyoming. Okay. Okay. Michigan and Florida. Okay. So we got a good mix tonight. That's awesome. Okay. So let's get started. When you guys first log in to your LPT Connect, you're going to come up on your main screen as always. So tonight, we're talking about state circles, what those are gonna look like, what they're going to entail, what you're going to be able to see. So when you first log in, this is the screen that you're gonna have, and then I'm gonna preemptive with this. You cannot do this yet, but you will be able to. So you're going to type in, sorry, the state that you're looking for. I'm gonna use South Carolina as an example to start. We do have a couple of states that are, already built out ready to go. So when you first log in, this is just kind of an overview of what's been happening within your state, things that have been added, that type of thing. You can go to the next tab for your circle stream, and this is where you can, like, write on the wall, you know, whatever it is. You can always just kinda jump in here and say, hey. Kinda like Facebook. Right? Like, what are you guys wanting to talk about? There's also another tab down here for discussions, but we'll get to that. So if you're looking for someone specific in South Carolina, right how right now, we have a couple of us in here, mostly admins and brokers. But you will be able to search just like you can from the main stage by name, by state, which clearly we're in South Carolina. If you're looking for someone in a specific city, and I don't know that the MLS is active yet, but that will come up. Let's say you get to the point where you have tons of connections and you just wanna search your connections. So those are the people right now that are in my connections that I could search from. But if you have three hundred in there, you wanna be able to search specific to your connections, you can. If you're looking for something specific, I want to know, what the policies and procedures looks like. And you can just see if that will filter, and then there it is right there. You can click on it. It will open it up. All of that. Articles is gonna be more of updates or, things that the brokers are like, hey. This is what's going on right now. I have some things in here for South Carolina I just thought needed to be in here. For updates, you can also we will be adding, like, the newsletters that we've done monthly over the last couple of months in here. You can click on these and open them. It's gonna give you all of the information that was put in here, if there's any links, if people are talking about it. The next tab is your calendar. This is gonna work just like main stage, but it's gonna be specific to your state. So your brokers are gonna be able to come in here, the like, you can see the one that's in here, for the state meetings, any extra trainings, if you guys if your states are doing events or if you guys have events and you're like, hey. Can we get that on the calendar? Because I wanna invite a bunch of people. You know, we can definitely make that happen. You get into discussions, and this is where we can talk about anything. Like, hey. I have a question about buyer agency. You know, with all the new changes, what does that look like? You guys can jump in here and start a discussion, and anyone from South Carolina that is in that circle will be able to have that discussion with you. This is more for the local state stuff, especially when you're talking, policies, procedures, laws, and that type of thing. Videos can be anything. I have a couple in here that, I threw in here, that for classes that we've done or meetings that we've done. You'll be able to open them up and watch them all. Again, you can comment on them. Wiki for your states is going to be, a lot of static information that really isn't gonna change over time. We have your policies and procedures, office address requirements, like broker information, how do you get a hold of them, what's the address, state specific advertising rules. So a lot of your static information, exactly how it used to be in knowledge base, is going to be in in these wikis. So you'll be able to get in and search all kinds of things from the search bar for your state, looking for those specific things. You can always go back by clicking the state or use the back button. And then, of course, we don't want to leave the circle. But if you are licensed in the state and you become unlicensed, we need to leave the circle, then we can make that happen too. Hey, Patty. Sorry. Short. Can you go back in and show how you got into the circle? Absolutely. So all I did was come up here to the top, and I'm going to type in well, maybe. I'm gonna type in the state, and it's gonna pop up, with your circles in the middle. Now keep in mind, agents don't have access to these yet, But that's how you're gonna find that specific state. And, again, everything on the left hand side, all of the menus are going to be the same as far as, what's available in these blue spots. So you're not gonna have extra things in different states. It's going to be exactly the same for each state. The content within those will just be a little bit different. Sorry. I was like, oh, let me check check the chat. Yeah. Nothing nothing else that I chat right now. Okay. So yeah. I mean, I think the biggest thing is, especially when you're talking calendar, if there's anything specific that's on there, you should be able to, again, go back to that main stage if you didn't want to from there. Go to your calendar on your main stage. Nope. I lied. Where is that? Is it under mine? Sorry. Yes. Your settings for your own calendar. So let me back that up. If you go and click on your name or your picture on the upper right hand side and click view my profile, you can see your calendar, and you can set which circles you want to see. So I've always want Alabama. I want my states. Right? So you can come in here and change your preferences. So right now, you can see that South Carolina state meeting on my calendar. If I were to take that off, it disappears. But, of course, I wanna keep those. So when I do click on my calendar up here, at any time, all of my calendars that I wanted to be a part of and have information on are on there. Any questions on your calendar? I know I kinda just jumped over there. But you can always come in here and take things off. You're like, hey. I don't need new agent training because I'm not a new agent. I'm not interested. You can always take that off. I'm interested because I like to be able to tell my agents when it is. But, yeah, for any reason, if I was like, hey. I need to add that calendar. Like, oh, wait. I need to add Virginia. I can do that at any time. And this is really great for all the agents who have multi state licenses. Right? So you don't want to lose track of those. So this is a great place. All in one place. And when things start happening within, you're you're like, oh, wait. Look. See? I posted this, and someone came in and liked it. Or, hey. Someone came in and made a comment on it. Terry Truckster has been on top of my stuff today. So for this particular one, it was, you know, Virginia Wiki that I had put in there, and he went in to look, and he was like, oh, yay. Now there's a calendar. So it really just depends on what you're looking for. This is a good example. Well, I lied. This is a good example of what I was talking about having newsletters put in there. So it's really just gonna depend on what state you're in and what that content is gonna look like because they're all gonna be a little bit different as far as content. So if I jump into Alabama because I searched that top for Alabama, then, again, we can come over here and we can see the wikis. We can see what, if Michael's been up to anything as far as articles. He does not have any articles in there yet. So I do know he's been working on Arkansas. So let's see. So then you can see, like, all the things that he's been doing in Arkansas, adding compliance stuff, important information. There's his pretty face. He did a housing market forecast. So, yeah, every state circle is gonna be a little bit different as far as what content is in there, but I think it'll be good. And then, again, you can go to that discussions and say, okay. I wanna talk about this in a lesson in Arkansas. Great. Go to that blue button. Start that discussion. Put the information in there, and let everyone else, from that state see that and be like, oh, yeah. I can help with that. I can answer that question. So I think those discussions are gonna be a big one. But if you're looking for in state referrals, I think that would be a great opportunity. But, again, you can always go to the top and search, hey. I know Christina's last name. But look. There she is, and I can click on Christina. Yep. I'm gonna leave the page because I'm not gonna post anything. So and I can come over here, and I can see her contact information and her email address. She got a little recognition there. That's pretty cool. Okay. So yeah. I think I think that's pretty cool. Yeah. And then just to touch on some, comments in the chat, you do not have access yet. We're just show showing you what it looks like. So we as soon as we release access to agents and you guys will be added to your specific states. So just keep on a lookout for that, and then make sure that when you do get your state circle access that, you check and see that you have all of your states. We have a lot of agents who are multi licensed. We wanna make sure that you're added to the ones that you need to be and and all additional ones. There you go. So Josh just mentioned he's in, this meeting right now. So he just you know, very informative, Patty. And so he commented on our, meeting that he's in right now and said, here you go. Thank you. So all of your mentions or anything that happens within the circles that you're a part of or that you're associated with will pop up with those notifications. So it won't just be state specific there. It'll be everything pertaining to you, which is pretty cool. Mhmm. But you can always go in and say, okay. Well, what have people been doing in here? Maybe I don't wanna write on the wall, but I wanna see what's going on in here. I'm the only one in here, so it's the only one posting stuff. But as other people get in here and post stuff, then you'll be able to see all of that. There's a question in the chat about what happens if you click on the circle calendars and you only want one date, but they all show up on my personal calendar. I'm not sure if you're referring to what Patty was showing us since Yep. I know exactly what she's talking about. So if we were to go to my calendar, I don't I think I can help you with this. I'm gonna try. If you go to your calendars, and I have all this stuff on here, and I'm like, hey. I'm not going to make, you know, the ten o'clock tonight. So I'm gonna click on that ten o'clock. I don't want it on my calendar, maybe. Scroll. Sorry. Scroll up so that window pops right. Cannot get it to because the screen let's make my screen bigger. Let me try it this way. Let's say I didn't wanna go to the nine o'clock this morning. You can say, hey. No. Mm-mm. I don't wanna go. I don't want it on my calendar, and it will mark through it. So it does not show up on your calendar. Lovely. Yep. So So it'll still be there in case you change your mind. You're like, oh, wait. I wanted to do it, but then this overlapped, but then that canceled so I can go back. So you can absolutely it won't disappear. But and then if it's just too much, then you can just come over here and take it off and say, hey. I don't wanna do that anymore. Mhmm. One more question in the chat. It says, just joined LPT last week. Any reason to learn the current version? How soon is this one coming to California? If you're speaking on Connect one point o, the original, it's still going to be there as a legacy account. But, yeah, I would I would start poking around in Connect two point o. On these state circles, brokers are actually in the next few months going to be transferring that information from, Connect one point o, the knowledge base over to their state circles. So we'll be that's a work in progress, but the goal is to have everything in connect two point o. For sure. And once those state circles are available, a lot of this, I think they gave us, what, thirty days, sixty days, something like that? I think sixty days and So so for now what time? Logging if you are logging in and you're not seeing this new version at the top, send a ticket into that two point o at l p t realty dot com because you guys should be seeing all of the new stuff. You just won't be able to see the state circles quite yet. Yes. And then, Lacey Pipes is on here. She is one of our brokers for Texas, and she is she is commenting that if you please keep your, state calendars on. Remember, the idea is that you have access to trainings, and you also have state meetings, for your broker. So it's it it it might be busy depending on how many states you have or how many, you know, circles that you're part of. But, for from a broker perspective, we like you to keep your calendars on because it gives you access to what we need to provide to you too. One hundred percent. Yes. And, Ron, it will make you look very, very busy. It absolutely will. So, I do know that this may be coming. There are settings here to be able to share that calendar or copy that calendar to your Google Calendar. So I don't know how that works. That's a tech person thing. And I have a tech person on call, hopefully, next week that's gonna help me do that. But I do believe there's going to be a way to get this calendar to your Google Calendar. But you have to be more techie than me. So I don't know how it works. Normally, I just call someone and they're they walk me through it and then I forget it again. So but there's be another training video. Yeah. I know there's a I know there's a way. But I think these are great classes. It's and I think state circles are going to help with communication. Let's see if that will I think when you search state circles, it will give me all of the circ state circles I'm in. So yep. So Arkansas, Mississippi, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Virginia, South Carolina. So those are all the ones that I'm a member of. So that was kinda cool. I hadn't seen that before. But so in the future, that may be where your state circles live. But, again, if you're looking for specific, you're gonna use that search bar, and then you can, again, you can get into anything that's in here. You can search this itself either from this box up here or from the tab on the left hand side. So, I know there's one in here. I wanna get paid. And I know that, that is in here. So I can click on that. It's It's the same instructions that were in knowledge base, but and I'm sure it's in the regular knowledge base in one point o. But for now, I went ahead and copied and pasted it. So if and when we get access, that is all in here. So and then if you wanna go back to the beginning, say, hey. I need to go work on my transactions. You just click on that LPT Connect, and you go right back to your transactions. Yeah. That was quick. Any other questions? Not really. Nothing else in the chat right now. Josh did add that if you click support once you get access, if you click support, and then you'll have a state circles tab, that'll be another way to get there versus just searching. Yes. Look at Josh. Good job. Thank you. He needs a bat he needs a badge, Patty. Yes. Absolutely. So Josh just taught me something new. I love that. So well, where are you, Josh? We have a lot of there he is. So if you guys ever come across, you're like, hey. That was amazing. You can give him What in the world was it? Was it state circles? Mhmm. Like, I know your thoughts. Mhmm. Uh-huh. So and he will get that on his wall. So that's pretty cool. Love that. Thank you, Josh. But, yeah, anytime you want to jump into your, like, hey. I just I need to go look at this. Let me go look at this. You can absolutely say, okay. Where is blah blah blah? And then I need to go watch that video from my meeting from whenever it was. NAR forms updates. Yeah. I need to watch that meeting for sure. You will find, when brokers start putting stuff in here I'm going to show you one because it came to me. It was awesome. That there was nope. I lied. Was it on my view profile? I got required reading. So it is not there. I did it, so it is gone. But you may log in and see that someone has said, hey. You need to read this. I do believe a lot of the brokers are going to ask that the policies and procedures for your states are required reading. We want you to see them, especially when they get updated. We may push that button again and say, hey. We need to make sure that every agent is reading this. So I thought that was pretty cool when I got that the other day. I was like, yep. Gonna be doing that. Mhmm. And brokers who are on this call, same thing. It's it's an it's a nice feature that you can add to anything state specific that is required from training, reading, advertising, compliance, anything that you're doing. Special programs. If your state has a mentor program, consider these types of articles, and and and add the required reading function. Yeah. I think that's gonna be a great idea for all of us. So, yeah, you may log in and get a thing that says, oh, by the way, you have required reading. Please read it. Mhmm. It will it will benefit you for sure. So, yeah, I think, again, I think it's gonna depend on state to state as far as, like, what you're seeing in your articles. I think the wikis are pretty pretty standard just like they were for knowledge base. Right. I think all of that information will be pretty standard. Just it will be state specific. Mhmm. So and the more information that you guys put in here and the more discussions you have, the less testy this program will be. We need you to come in and play with it and ask the questions and start discussions so we can so this program can start feeding off of what you guys need versus what just the static information that we're putting in as brokers. So any suggestions or questions, we can we we will always take them. Mhmm. And then, Lacey mentioned, reexplain the differences between Wiki and articles. From what I understand, your Wiki is going to be, like, your knowledge based content. Right? Like Patty said, it's your static information. Things these things are really not changing. It's your frequently asked questions, you know, the brokerage information. And then your articles, you know, is is relevant content. Anything that you need to share with your your state or that your brokers would need to share with with their agents. Yep. So, I mean, I have an SCR advisory in here. They started talking about the specifics for South Carolina when it comes to showing agents, and whether or not who can pay and how can pay and whether or not wholesaling is now allowed by, a licensed agent, which it is not anymore in South Carolina, versus, yeah. So it's just yeah. I did post the ABR is getting ready to expire for that free NAR ABR for the agents to be able to see when they log and be like, hey. That's gonna expire. Because my brain works this way. If anybody's on the call, code of ethics, three year cycle ends on December thirty first. So if you're not sure that you've done that, you can log in to NAR and make sure that requirement's been done. Perfect shout out. Yeah. I mean, it's just you know, some people don't think about it. So if it's there and you're not sure, go check it. That will probably be one of my next articles just in case. We we can get that access out to everybody. Yeah. But, yeah, all that fun stuff. Now you can come in and, like, just browse the circle and see what people are talking about, or you can get into discussions and start a discussion there. Like, hey. What MLS is closest to? Why do you use it? Whatever it is. You guys can talk about anything in there, really. Yeah. And I would I would recommend, a step on your profile. There is a step where you add your MLS. Please make sure that you complete that because that's how you'll be able to use that search feature that, Patty had shown earlier on your state site. Yeah. When you go to your people stuff. Mhmm. You can search by MLS. So this is gonna require that everybody fills in that information, so that it can it's it's not functioning at the moment. But when we have that information, when we're able to search, that's an additional option. So and don't I'll be honest. Like, of course, Josh Josh says he's in Rockford, Illinois. But if you're when you go to complete your profile, put it in here, like, your specifics, because when you use the search function up here I'm gonna use Greenville, South Carolina as an example. And I just search it, like, straight up Greenville. That's not what I want to do. Yeah. It is. So it's gonna bring up different people, and what they've been doing. But because we don't have a lot going on in Greenville, this is it. So here we go. We have one person here in Greenville. Christina Torello. Yep. So she's in she's on that referrals. Heather is one of my local agents, also does Greenville. So as people start putting their information in here, Lucas is in Greenville. So even if it's not directly on that, hey. This is where my location is, it will still pull when people are searching. So they can search right there in the bar for whatever it is that they're needing. I doubt if I put in Boiling Springs, anyone's going to pop up. Oh, looky there. I was wrong. Anyways. Yep. But this is because this is her last name, it could be associated to anything. So I'm like, I don't recognize any of these people. This one's in San Diego. So, yeah, it's gonna pop up anytime you use that. That was a lot more common than I thought it was gonna be. But, yeah, it's kinda cool. Shalana is brand new agent here, and, of course, Heather does Spartanburg as well. So she's definitely in the Spartanburg area. But, yeah, you can search that however you that search bar is gonna be great for y'all. It's not I just like it. And, of course, you can always go back to your state circles. I like playing around in this. I don't think you can mess it up. So I've been in here clicking like a crazy person. So just digging into, like, what's being offered. So but the state circles, are gonna be your state specific stuff where most of, like, your trainings in biz gen at the top is gonna be, more LPT wide. Anybody else? You good? You're welcome, Serene. So the last question in the chat was how do you add the MLS, function? You'll do the edit my profile, if it's available. It may not be functioning, but I did add it on mine today. So, I would start there. Here? No. It was on something else. I saw Yeah. So I wasn't sure if Go down to the one you did the one below it? Below your face? Your face? Yep. Yeah. It's it's one of the, like, next features. Like, you add something there you go. User preference. User preferences. Okay. Just like it just just like the tab on the front. It's under user preferences. Okay. There you go. And then you can add your licenses, and you'll add your MLS's and your associations there. Yep. So from here. Okay. And those will be searchable. And and and, you know, again, I don't know if the agent accounts have this. If you do, that's wonderful. Add it. But but it is a feature, and that's where we'll be able to pull and and and it'll make it searchable. Okay. So there you go. At the end, it'll let you. Yep. Yep. And multiple states. I have all sixteen of mine. So you can you can add That's awesome. You can add a a ton. There you go, guys. So that's how you do that. It did automatically just did it. Mhmm. Love that. Okay. I just need to go in and add all my other ones. Pretty cool. So, yeah, if you go up to your name on the upper right hand side, it's that user preferences button. Thank you. Okay. Good to know. Or if you're on the home page, it's also here at the bottom. I just didn't realize that was the same button until you told me that. That was up there. So good to know. It's a little it's a little tabby thing. I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. No. As soon as as soon as it I clicked on user preferences and saw the window open, I was like, oh, that's on the home screen too. Yeah. So perfect. K. Cool. Any other questions? We're right at time. Let's do it. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Have a good night, guys. Yep. Thanks for filling in questions. Yep. Completely Yes. Any issues, support, the I saw the one last comment about an issue. Send a a ticket two point o at l p t realty dot com. Yep. And they will help take care of you and get you situated for sure. Well, thank you, Patty. Alright. Great. You're welcome. Thank you. Bye, guys. Have a great everybody. Good day.
